Jim Sumler has been working for GCREC for over 20 years. Working with Dr. Chandler in the Plant Breeding and Genetic Program, Jim has provided assistance in developed of several new varieties of strawberries over the years. He also supervises the volunteers who harvest strawberries for the center. A graduate of the University of Florida and Louisiana State University, Jim worked as an Agricultural Technician at the center before accepting his current position.
