Botrytis cinerea - Botrytis Fruit Rot (Gray Mold)
 

Early lesion: Lesions begin as small, firm, light brown spots often occurring under the calyx.
 
 

Botrytis fruit rot earned its common name, gray mold, from the fuzzy, gray appearance of sporulating lesions. 

 

Advanced Infection:  Botrytis can eventually consume and mummify the whole fruit.
