A pamera bug that can be seen in high numbers late in the season where few broad spectrum pesticides have been used.

Scientific name: Pachybrachius vinctus (Say) and P. bilobatus (Say)

Description: Pamera adults and nymphs are tan or brown bugs about 1/8 to 1/4 inch (3.2 to 6.4 mm) long with narrow bodies and long antennae.  The upper portions of the first pairs of legs are enlarged.  The basal half of the forward pair of wings is hard, and the distal half is membranous.  The bugs feed with piercing and sucking mouth parts.
